Three Lions heading to Tuscany on fundraising adventure.
Rugby League Lions Association secretary John Ledger is getting back in the saddle for a very special cause – and we’d love it if you could support him.
John is leading Ciclo Italiano, the annual fundraising bike ride for Rugby League Cares which this year heads to the rolling hills of Tuscany for what will be one of the toughest challenges the charity has ever put on.
Over five days from June 7, John will lead a group of hardy fundraisers on a 500-kilometre route through the rolling hills of Tuscany, taking in more than 27,000 feet of ascent – that’s nearly as high as Mount Everest.
Along the way they’ll visit some amazing locations, including Florence, Arezzo, San Gimignano and Siena, in the company of rugby league legends including Lions Adrian Morley and Nathan McAvoy and ex-Leeds Rhinos hooker Matt Diskin.
All the funds raised on the ride will go to the RL Cares Brain Health Fund, which is providing essential support to players (and their families) suffering from conditions like memory loss, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
Please show your support for this great cause by sponsoring John – all donations, big or small, will make a huge difference to the lives of rugby league heroes.
John has led every RL Cares bike ride since 2017 and in that time has helped the charity raise more than £150,000.
